Orchha, decadent city

leave Agra and still see the wonders of the Taj Mahal we face the road to Orchha,
the two cities are little more than 200 km away but were required to cover seven hours and a half drive ...
the road was a scourge.
when we arrived at Orcha we incotrato our local guide, a man in his thirties who spoke Italian and a fair there has been led to visit a couple of buildings in the center ... Originally these buildings were to be of indescribable beauty, but now live in conditions of neglect, once all the walls were covered with colorful tiles, now remained only in some places less accessible to thieves and weather.
after visiting the palaces We did a walk through the streets of downtown merchants insistent the stalls and so many children, just one of them a child-dealer made us run out of words and we could not help but buy some "sciartapelle" (as Our friend Marie called the junk).
In this city is the magnificent landscape where the trees sprout between the myriad of temples abandoned, decaying buildings and domes of the temples at the center of town that look like candy ...
after some pictures of these children and their colorful stalls we came back to the hotel where we had dinner and then sleep.
here to Orchha it was nice to see "moments of everyday life" in India, but in principle this is a town that is based mostly to the proceeds of stalls, but tourists are not many ...
Orchha let the feelings inside of us are melancholy, a bit of sadness and tranquility ... Goodnight

Agra AGRA ... Taj Mahal City

Hey Shyam ... how many hours to Agra from here ?.... oh ... do not worry only 6-7 hours ...
...
Neemrana leave at 9 and we start the journey to Agra, the city famous throughout the world because here
was built the Taj Mahal.
The road is long and dysfunctional as ever, and after many hours of machine "avoiding the hardest holes" (as he said Baptists) ...
We arrived at Fatehpur Sikri 40 km from Agra. This is now a deserted city in the desert, all built in red sandstone and the outside walls and a moat.
This city was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar.
Akbar after being very ruthless ... became very tolerant of other religions, so as to marry three wives, one Christian, one Muslim and one Hindu.
But these could not give him an heir to his kingdom. Then someone spoke to the emperor of this place where there was an Islamic holy man who worked miracles, and so the emperor and his wife went to the Muslim holy man and then managed to have a child, the male could succeed to the throne.
Akbar as a sign of devotion and impressed by the tranquility and the climatic conditions of the place was built here the new capital of his kingdom. But the city was
only inhabited for 15 years and then was abandoned because it was built too far away from lakes or rivers and low rainfall were not enough to fill the needs of city water.
Today this site is protected by UNESCO, and is really well maintained and is working on further restoration work.

After a pleasant visit to Fatehpur Sikri, we continue our journey to Agra to achieve, the many hours' drive us off the enthusiasm but as soon as we arrived in town we go to the Fort that stands on a hill overlooking the river Yamuna, Work on the construction of the fort were begun at the behest of Akbar around 1565 and then was expanded by his successors.
In particular, Shah Jahan (nephew of Akbar, who built the Taj Mahal), who enriched it with new buildings constructed in white marble, which he adored.
As soon as we finished visiting the fort we came back to the hotel where we relaxed a bit and then we went back to explore the city.
As we left the hotel, a group of rickshaw drivers it was glued to the ribs, and for the first time in our trip, we tried such a bother for insistence.
After taking a Costa coffee in the bar, to take a respite from the driver, we took a tuc-tuc and we had to bring in the bazaar, here we have entered a music store and tried tabla, and other musical instruments dolak Indian tradition the owner wanted to sell us the tools, but not with the classic "trading", but with the technique of: "you pay them and send in your last available hotel for your holiday in Delhi ... but why??
well owner "Beautiful Hair" told us he did so because he had no ready-made tools ... will not have been there instead of under a nice "package" ...
under the guise of a pay shipping and then waiting for the flight to Delhi ... unnecessarily? we do not know, but we trusted and we are gone! .. After another ride and after spending a bit of "money" for the earrings in silver we have returned to the hotel.

...
.....
........

We woke up at 4:00 AM and reach the gates of the complex that houses the magnificent Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal
as mentioned above was built by Shah Jahan after the death of his beloved wife, she is told that on his deathbed he asked the emperor to show his love
building a symbol of their love, something so only that no one could forget.
The Taj Mahal is completely marmmo materials come in and stand inside and decorated with precious stones, carvings, etchings and bassotilievi, a true masterpiece ...
Today this is the most famous monument, richest and most visited in India.
It took 22 years to complete the construction of the Taj Mahal and after execution the king ordered the cutting of hands for the designer not afford to build anything like it.
On the advice of the guide we decided to visit the Taj Mahal at dawn ...
When, after half an hour of waiting, the doors are open and we managed, after several security checks, to enter the show that appeared before it was incredible ...
the view of the Taj Mahal is something you'll never forget, filled with wonder and for the first time we realize that we have come to a place "far away". Here
We take almost 200 pictures at the Taj Mahal and when we leave remains in us a sense of awe and wonder at how much beauty and majesty we saw.

After leaving the Taj behind us we went to breakfast at the hotel and rest a bit and then we left at a time of Orcha.

Neemrana Fort Palace Lost in Time ... Time ... relax

10/10/2010 Neemrana Fort Palace

Leaving the city of Jaipur we head east towards Delhi, and here on {[("Highway")]} that connects the two cities have seen a strong wonderful ... That strong
is now a luxury, is the Neemrana Fort Palace, and today we will spend a day of relaxation!
Begun in 1464 AD, Neemrana Fort-Palace is among the oldest places of cultural heritage of India. Neemrana became the third capital of the descendants of Prithviraj Chauhan III.
This picturesque site was chosen by Raja Rajdeo Neemrana and takes its name from a brave local chieftain Nimol Meo, who after being defeated by Chauhans, begged them to give his name to his lost kingdom.
When we arrived at Neemrana, as usual, the employees were posted back in our suitcases and we got to the reception, here we did the check-in and waited 2 hours to get our room because the check is made out to 12 and then the first two hours is not possible that the rooms are again ready for the next guests.
But ok, we were in the castle of dreams so ... be quiet ... relax ...
We had a nice walk through the various streets of the fort, very picturesque, every corner is a nice photo ..
we then asked for information about the massages, the spa hotel and Federica has booked an Ayurvedic massage in the afternoon, while we were
to soak in the lovely pool with a fantastic view. At 5
federica is out of the spa with a face ... it seemed ecstatic! Together then we waited for sunset.
Spectacular ... We were speechless until the sun is hidden behind the mountains in the background. Around 7 we
andatai the bar of the fort where there was a duo, father and son, playing and singing and playing the background of our drink beer, the clientele of the bar were all
Moscioni this duet and the boy, who played the dolak, he was very good, while his father, who played a sitar, it was a bit out of tune ... The strong
an exciting atmosphere at night ... from the Arabian Nights! Imagine all dark .. .. and just lights (Christmas style) that adorn the walls of the fort, the trees and bows and candles to enhance the special
whole of the past is truly fabulous and rare to see really romantic romantic to live!
we dined outdoors on a terrace with a central pool with aquatic plants and trickles of water, all surrounded with lights and candles on the tables, our dinner was really good and as usual
We tasted everything.

After dinner we wrote and published some blog and then we went to sleep!
