Kamaganì!
... Yay terms with the first Indian to greet basic .. here in India is a form of respect from strangers more than the basic "hello" English!
We meet our second day in the "Golden" Golden City Jaisalmer called precisely because all the houses in this city are made of stone, a local stone with yellow sunlight sprinkled on the golden city spreads this magical effect!
am in the bon heure there we met with our guide guru Ganesh, and we move with him in the middle of town and not fortified ell'ammirare life in the streets get to the first Jain temple "Chabdraparadhu" that we visit this temple dating from the twelfth century there are more than a hundred marble sculptures of Parasnath, and we can also see the Jain monks intent in the work of restoration and maintenance of the statues, the monks, the elderly and little boys wore a stole of orange cloth duped especially the pelvis and legs, where the end was raised and taken around the mouth, news that has been clarified by the guide, they cover their mouth to avoid any accidental edible type of insect life in this case, very many in town!
Once the visit to the temple we travel back through the alleys of the fort, where he is overwhelmed by the mix of smells, not always pleasant, that we are now a feature,
in the fort, as well as about 3000 people living there are twenty hotels and a large population:
cows, pigs, dogs, bats, etc.. then we leave you to imagine that aroma ...
after visiting a haveli unfortunately empty and another where there was yet another junk we reached the "Fort House" Hotel Manish, where we met his father who welcomed us warmly showing off his knowledge of Italian language .
The hotel is coming up really well!
the alleys near the doors often see a painting of the god Ganesh and our of "Ganesh" told us that this indicates that in that house, recently we celebrated a wedding.
The houses, of course, are another feature and contradiction in India, here we find, fantastic constructions, with work by "carving" (a kind of embroidery in stone) exceptional, as opposed small houses, holes, sprout from where many people living in the limit for us!
for roads have also seen workers who rearranged some of the walls of the fort here, in fact, a few years ago a bastion of the wall collapsed killing several people.
Exit from the walls of the fort, we stopped at a stall that served as a deli and bakery, here we have tasted the sweets of Rajasthan and a sort of calzone fried zucchini (VERY SPECIAL!)
Ganesh took us to a temple dedicated to Shiva, which stands on an artificial lake very nice, where after attending muster of catfish, an impressive sight! we met a friend
Ganesh is that the "priest" in the temple and we did hear some singing prayer, has donated a bracelet on his arm red and yellow and then he marked his forehead with the red and orange
all know that by now.
back in the city center we visited a fabric store and found some sari for the event, and here we have shown some tissues derived from different processes.
Then we went to another shop where they had huge exposure of tissues where we admired the beautiful patchwork, a collection of several pieces of different fabrics,
combined to create true works of art (some of these work is inspired by the paintings of Klimt art-Nuveau). In
Late afternoon we reached the area where the processing environment and objects in the sale of gold and silver, here we entered the store with bellisiimi pieces, from earrings to bracelets, anklets and rings from
, there was pretty much everything, but unfortunately , we have not reached agreement on the price and we have not bought anything!
After returning to the hotel we went to dinner at a restaurant recommended by Lonely Planet, which was specialized in kebab, which is not what we know in Italy, but
dishes are goat or chicken, skewered with a long metal skewers and cooked in "Tandori" (oven), the dinner was excellent, unfortunately, just as we were finishing it been a power for the whole Jaisalmer and the impressive amount of crickets in the city moved up anything or anyone. (Luckily that was not afraid of crickets federica!?)
include a jump of cricket and another, we're back to the hotel, where we published a blog post and we
put a little chat with two Italian girls who sceltto also had them Shambhoo Travel!
then sleep.
Goodnight
धन्यवाद Dhan'yavāda (thanks)
